Day 1
Still waiting for TS to confirm that he has got to Leeds and is crashed out on my brother's sofa watching Stargate and eating chicken tandori pizza washed down with a pint of really hoppy beer.
I've not managed to kill myself by falling down the stairs, off ladders, chopping my arm off with the chain saw, starvation or hypothermia. But it's early days.

Well, is he there yet? I am on tenterhooks. Keep us posted...and stay safe and healthy! It sounds like hard work.
Yes he's there missed his ferry due to getting diverted and then lost in a rough Paris housing estate but got the next one then ran over something on the road and did the wheel bearings in somewhere between Dover and London but carried on. Limousin to Leeds 18 hours. And yes he has had a beer and pizza and a good nights sleep since
I'm new to your blog but may I say that you have great wit and what I have read so far has had me laughing my old pop sox off - actually I don't wear them, just thouht it might make the comment sound wittier. Re soup - it's the most marvellous thing in the world to make, to have on the stove with the smell permeating the whole house and to eat with hot crusty bread. Divine. Celery soup - that's what my grannie's house always smelt of and I can recreate it in a matter of an hour and I am transported right back several decades. Good luck and I will have fun following your progress.
Love your blog! Please don't fall down stairs/off a ladder/sever your arm with a chainsaw/starve or freeze - it may affect your ability to type, and I want to read more!
