Just over two weeks to go now so of course time has slowed to a snail's pace.
Today though was broken up nicely. I am finishing my latest assignment tomorrow and they took me out for lunch to thank me for my hard work. How good is that? Not the sort of treatment us temps are used to but I could become accustomed to it. I wouldn't recommend it from a productivity point of view, I'm sitting here still stuffed to the gills with Italian food and I really didn't like to ring anyone this afternoon as I was just a little bit giddy from the wine and we won't mention the garlic breath. We don't need to TS and my brother haven't stopped telling me I stink since I got home, perhaps I should of had a nibble on the parsley garnish.
My next assignment, should I choose to accept it, which of course I will, is for two weeks at another department in the Uni so that's me fully employed till I go home.

Breezy - just think of the fun you will have once you get back! Roll on April. BTW I saw the first shoots out of the ground today, as a Canadian I can't tell you how exciting that is, although saying that we are still due a little snow tonight. Again.. Roll on April and France!
You should be back in time to enjoy the good weather!
Seriously though while the weather hasn't been good in the UK it's not been that good here either. Not cold enough to stop the grass growing though so do bring you machete with you.
Good things come to those who wait!
(Doggi above is a spammer, btw. Same comment on hundreds of blogs.)
SITH You may be sick of snow but I haven't seen any to speak of this year. Never mind spring will of sprung when we ge home
DND Nothing can blunt my enthusiasm to get back in that garden I am dreading the aching muscles after flying a desk for two months though
Kitt Thanks for the heads up
Only two weeks left? Wow, you must be itching to get home now.
Can't believe they took you out for lunch - what's the temp world coming to?!
I can't believe they took you out for lunch either...which of course means they love your work - and - that it is hard to get good temps...so they are courting you for your return next year.
Two weeks! Sigh....maybe then Debra will post more too with you home..
Yes, what's happened with Debra? Paris must have done her in or something. Just think of the gardening you'll have ahead of you when you get home! Now, after all your comments about yourself being so lazy and such, you've gone and proven it all wrong!! I shall always take your self abasing comments with a large grain of salt.
Jen I'm doing the two more Mondays, just next Saturday then the one after will be going home Saturday kid type thing to make it seem nearer
Aims and Wooly I hope it's not the Dinnerladies playing her up but knowing Debra she'l be working away at something. I'd like to think they took me out to lunch cos I'm so fabulous but really I think they were just nice considerate people
Good stuff old girl getting a free dinner. You need all that hard earned dosh for your return to France!
You come over as a really nice person in your posts so no wonder they wanted to treat you.
Roll on the next two weeks and get home safely.
Hi B, bet you can't wait to get home. The weather here is pretty shite, it is raining most of the time, with the odd warm, sunny day to lull you into thinking spring is really here. On the plus side, everything in the garden is sprouting, my irises under the lounge windows are waiting for a sunny day to burst into flower, leaves are appearing on all the fruit bushes, the magnolia is in full bloom and the wisteria flowers are starting to open. Chooks are all well, but they are fed up with the weather!
Hi B again, just a quick technical query, when I go to Wooly Works blog, I get a window in the middle od the page saying something about downloading info. It goes really flashy with loads of numbers and I have to do Cntrol,Alt, delete to get rid of it but this closes the blog as well. I haven't been able to read her blog for ages and I am getting withdrawal symptons. Do you have the same problem?
Get over here - the weather is lovely...!
Hi Debra
Can't wait to see the gardens coming to life. Lets hope the weather isn't a repeat of last year though! Looking forward to another trip to the market at St Junien for plants like we did last year. I've had no problems with Wooly's blog so it must be down to your PC somehow
TBNIL I'm doing my best one and a half weeks and counting
