Home

Tech Support arrived home this morning bearing gifts and things left behind.

The gifts included fleecy pyjamas, thermal long johns and woolly socks, all bought following the minus 9 degree days of last week. A man who will buy you thermal long johns and fleecy PJs is far more precious than one who arrives with silk lingerie I feel.

He brought our Christmas decorations (can't think what gave him that idea!), some pictures and of course more books.

And some things just because they were ours and left behind like the iron (that's the only reason I can think of for bringing it).

He is now sleeping the sleep of a man who has driven for 16 hours to get home and the house is warm again and it's nothing to do with the temperature outside or the logs he split for me after driving all that way. The fleecy PJs help too though.

Glad Tech Support is back safe and sound. Fleecy PJs & thermals eh? That's my kind of man!

This is obviously a Mars/Venus thing coz I think any woman who will wear silk lingerie in winter is worthy of much cherishing!

Breezy - we don't do ironing in our house. Life is too short.

Jen & Moonroot Yes we know what to look for in a man!

Stew Read and learn
ps yes ironing is pointless. I did it from time to time working in an office. Luckily TS has included presser in one of his many career incarnations

There's something about TS's - they are a gift from the gods....

Have one of my own and I laugh at my girlfriends who don't want to date a 'nerd'....they don't know what they are missing!

Mousie the PJs are just perfect for curling up on the sofa

Aims Yup wouldn't swop him

What are you going to do for exercise now that the chickens are staying put next to the great worshipful God of Chickens? No more haring around like a nutter impersonating Mrs Tweedy. You'll have to get a bike!

Glad your TS is back - you must have missed him dreadfully. I'm all for living with a nerd - I am a female one having spent 25 years in I.T. myself - and long before it was normal to find girlies working there.

Long live the nerds, Long live the nerds.....Think I'll start up a Nerd religion and charm people into handing over all their dosh to me. A bit of brainwashing never hurt anyone.

MOB Yes it's the longest we have been apart in oh over 26 years. TS is a strange kind of none nerdy nerd having coming to IT via the scenic route. One of the few network engineers with a City & Guilds in menswear who can drive a forklift truck. Although one of his colleagues was network engineer and pig farmer!

Hi Bubba,
It sounds just like the Milk Tray advert - man drives for 16 hours through blizzard and the Paris peripherique, braves the long A20, all to bring the woman he loves fleecy PJ's. What a star TS is. We are really glad he is back safely.

Yes all because the Lady loves Fleecy Jimmy Jams

So he's an honourary nerd really! I'm a fully fledged nerd having done a BSC hons just so that I could spend my life fiddling about in ner-dom bliss and that means that I actually planned that I would be a nerdette from the off. How sad does that make me eh? I blame my uncle, he encouraged me to follow my nightmares - oops - dreams!

Sounds like a well rounded and clever chap you have there. What with all those talents and now he's become the 'chicken whisperer' too! You must bask in his shadow of exceptional ability to speak chickeneese! Or should that be cluckaneeese! Or Buck,Buck,Buckaaneeese!

Your blog is as entertaining as ever and I paid a visit to your TS's once when you had a link in there - you are very funny people.

MOB I hope you meant funny ha ha not funny peculiar. You were one of the lucky ones with a plan and a goal and had enough gumption to see it through. I'm still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up so of course I drifted into office work and such which is strange because I was adamant that I was never going to work in an office. Perhaps I should of stuck with the original plan and been Dusty Springfield and a kennelmaid. Well you live and learn which really is enough.
