It's bin day today (well actually at the crack of dawn tomorrow) and my contribution to land fill this week is one small swing bin bag from the kitchen. Everything else this week has gone on the compost, in the chickens or will be recycled. It feels like a milestone to me anyway!

You should definitely give yourself a pat on the back!
Plus, your trashcan must smell much better than trashcans into which lots of food waste is thrown. (I speak from the experience of not having a compost this year!)
You are doing loads better than me. Even though the chooks eat leftovers, and we recycle loads, I still seem to have a 50L big bag each week.
Imperatrix patting and typing - no not really I'm not ambidextrous or even dextrous really
Debra well I bet that's loads less than many people
Every bit helps! I do my bit too.
Hi Casdok you are so right we need to get past the what good will my little bit do and get on with it
Just popped in for a look since you popped into mine - I do like your style - very refreshing!
The pic of the autumn leaves - that is beautiful and the pics of the food made me hungry!!
Now the pics of those rocks - I really liked those too...and the fact that you left food for the previous owners....girl - I like your style immensely!
Aims Thank You what a lovely comment. Pop over often and I'll keep checking up on those wonderful bears of yours
Yesterday was bag day for us too. We live by the church & Mairie, and have to leave our bins by the Mairie steps. It is always a source of great embarrasment to me that ours are always the last bins to be removed. Once they stayed outside the Marie for 2 days. The shame.
Stew Hang your head! outside the Mairie too! No wonder you have a pitchfork
Congratulations - well-earned smugness I think!
Thank you Moonroot
